We’re BACK, and better than ever! Being presented with 1st Place People’s Choice Awards in both MSR and Medley Events at the 2021 Alaska Scottish Highland Games, the Band is moving forward with holding LIVE, in-person lessons and practices again, as we want Alaska Celtic Pipes & Drums to continue to grow! We extend an open invitation to pipers and drummers to join the Band, and we invite anyone who would like to learn to play, to learn with us in our highly successful lessons program. We hold free weekly lessons on chanter, snare, tenor, and bass on Friday evenings 5:30-6:30pm at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 18444 Old Glenn Highway in Chugiak, Alaska (on the Old Glenn Hwy between North and South Birchwood Loop exits.)

We will also hold 12-week sessions of LIVE, in-person lessons at UAA Mat-Su College during the regular Fall and Spring Semesters.

Also during Summer 2021 – Alaska Celtic Pipes & Drums would like to get you JUMP-started, to learn to play through our LIVE, in-person Pipes & Drums End-of-Summer School! Two weeks of classes will provide you with 12 hours of immersion-style learning to build a great foundation for your Piping or Drumming Journey! Special Classes will be Mon, Tues, & Thurs, July 26, 27, & 29, AND Mon, Tues, & Thurs, August 2, 3 & 5, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
