Next Event on our Band Calendar: Saturday, October 4 at St John’s Lutheran Church in Palmer Alaska Celtic Pipes & Drums performing at their annual Rumbledethumps Concert! There will be performances by various Solo performers, small groups, and of course, the full Band.

For those ready to take the plunge, the Band meets regularly for weekly practice every Friday 6:30-8:30pm at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 18444 Old Glenn Hwy in Chugiak (on Old Glenn Hwy between North and South Birchwood Loops) We heartily welcome any experienced Pipers and Drummers in the area to come to our regular weekly practices and play with us! Even if it has been a while since you’ve played regularly, we can help get you sorted! Come on out and join us!

Throughout the year on Fridays evenings 5:30pm-6:30pm in Chugiak, we hold lessons for beginners and intermediate pipers on chanter and bagpipe, as well as lessons for beginner and intermediate drummers (Scottish Side Drum, Tenor, and Bass.) Band Practice follows the lessons. Also throughout the year on Saturday mornings, 10:00am-12:30pm at Twindly Bridge Charter School, at 141 E Seldon Rd in Wasilla, (at the corner of Seldon Road and North Lucille Street,) we hold another group of lessons for beginners and intermediate pipers on chanter and bagpipe, as well as lessons for beginner and intermediate drummers (Scottish Side Drum, Tenor and Bass.) There are three 50-minute sessons on Saturdays, (10:00-10:50; 10:50-11:40; and 11:40-12:30,) so now, you have two convenient opportunities during the week to learn at your own pace, under expert instruction.
